The Court of Parisian Splendour: Gowns of the 2021 Coronation opens June 26, 2021 in the Mays Family Center.
This summer, the Witte invites you to a special, additional Fiesta exhibition, like no other; the public debut of the 2021 Order of the Alamo Coronation gowns, page costumes, and accoutrement. Be enchanted as you marvel at the artistry of over 20 sparkling gowns, trains, and crowns in a dazzling array of Parisian themes.
Fiesta ®San Antonio is one of the most unique and treasured traditions in not only Texas, but the nation. The Witte Museum has long been the bearer of San Antonio’s history, including that of Fiesta. The Witte Collection includes almost 200 Order of the Alamo coronation dresses and robes, artifacts from the Charro Queen and Rey Feo, official posters from the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission ™, and archives and artifacts from the Battle of Flowers Association and the Witte is one of the only places in San Antonio where one can learn about the rich history and tradition of Fiesta.
