Ode to Juneteenth

San Antonio’s story of Juneteenth

Experience a special Gallery Theater performance, “Ode to Juneteenth,” a brand new work from nationally renowned playwright and performer, Eugene Lee. Mr. Lee brings stories of Juneteenth to life, from the moment the proclamation was first read on June 19, 1865, all the way through today. The characters will bring museum visitors on a journey of how Juneteenth shaped our city and Texas as we know it today.

Performances are included with Confluence and Culture: 300 Years of San Antonio History, or with purchase of an adventure pass, and will be scheduled throughout the run of Confluence and Culture: 300 Years of San Antonio History. See below for future performance dates. Call 210.357.1910 for more information.
